Jewelry basics every collection needs
For all of our silver gals who want a capsule jewelry collection, this one’s for you! There are basics you need in your collection — the white t-shirt and jeans of jewelry as we like to say. Those pieces that can be worn on their own, styled together, or mixed with your personal collection. These are the silver and Sterling Silver essentials.
Capsule Earrings
Silver earrings are the everyday staple your collection shouldn’t be without, but which ones do you truly need for a capsule collection? Our Merchandising Manager and resident stylist Victoria McCutchen says you should have a huggie earring, basic hoop, dangle earring, and a stud earring.
“These styles can really do everything for you and take your look from day to night. I love Kristin’s ear stack here because it’s everyday, while still being elevated. It’s also the best way to use all of your capsule earrings — you could even easily swap out the last huggie for a simple stud,” McCutchen said.
Capsule Necklaces
There are three types of silver necklaces every capsule collection should have: a chain necklace, statement necklace, and pendant necklace. Sometimes a necklace fits one of these categories and other times it can fall under all three, which makes it a true essential (like our Fighter Necklace!)
When building out your collection it’s important to keep in mind how your necklaces work together. You want to make sure you can layer them and they all add something different to a stack. This is why we love the different lengths and different types of chains in Kristin’s look.
Capsule Rings
A jewelry capsule isn’t complete without rings and we know just the ones you need. Similar to necklaces, you want rings that are easy to stack and layer with each other. This will give you so many styling options with only a few pieces.
